Advantage Environmental Lighting MEC Recessed Ambient and/or Examination Lighting
The fully enclosed MEC offers ambient and/or examination lighting, dimmable to the appropriate lighting levels for either occasions. The small aperture MEC is flush to the ceiling line, allowing quick, easy, as well as effective wipe-down. Separately switched ambient and exam functions provide the ability to accommodate the many necessary activities performed in the patient room. Specify the nightlight as an option for an additional function. Typically used in pairs, and positioned along both sides of the bed, the MEC offers glare and shadow free illumination. Specify the LED reading and/or chart light for an additional function in the patient room.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
0-10V 1% dimming driver included standard, additional options available. Long-life LED system rated for >100K life hours (L70 @ 25°C). Metal gear tray for internal LED driver. Complies with federal energy efficiency standards.
OPTICAL SYSTEM
0.080” thick frosted acrylic lens.

MOUNTING
Recessed grid 8" on center. For recessed flanged applications contact factory.
HOUSING
20 gauge steel or .063" aluminum housing options available with an electrostatically applied, white powder coat finish. Anti-microbial matte white finish optional.
LED
LEDs available in 2700K, 3000K, 4000K and 5000K with CRI > 82. Projected life is >100,000 hours at 70% lumen maintenance. (90 CRI Available)

5 - Year Limited Warranty.
DOORFRAME
Inset 18 gauge cold roll steel or .063" aluminum door frame. White TGIC polyester powder coat – 5-stage pre-treatment. Salt spray test: 1,000 hours; Reflectance: 92%. Doorframe secured to housing with stainless steel aircraft cables and captive flush mounted Phillips head stainless steel fasteners. Antimicrobial finish optional on all exposed painted surfaces of installed luminaire.
